One.Year.

Woot Woot!!
Photobucket
This month marks my one year at Lady Foot Locker, a whole year since my first sale.

I've gone through 3 different sets managers, about 6 pairs of new shoes for myself {heaven knows how many more shoe's I've bought for friends and the fam}, and a whole lot of sales.

Who knew I'd be good at retail? ... Surely not I.
Praise God for shoes, and for having a job {one of many}.
Now, how shall we celebrate?

Big News!!!

It's already Saturday and my week of interning with the fabulous Kristen Leigh has already ended. But I'm sure this is only the beginning to a amazing journey.

My new blog is official up, and I'll be updated about my internship and all my photography stuff on there. And no, don't worry .. I don't plan on closing off this blog any time soon, it'll just contain more personal stuff and inspiration {as originally intended}. So stick around, or head on over to my new blog, which ever you do thanks for stopping by and I heart you!!!

My coworkers hate me

They really don't ... but they play around like they do, because they know I'll laugh along with their sick little jokes.

Every day I enter our stock room only to see this taped to the wall. I was sick one day and they thought it was funny to warn the rest of our team. Still no one cares to take it down. Haha, real funny guys, real funny. LOL.
Ps. Do not be fooled. No, I did not have the swine flu.

BoardRoom

This is a bit of old news...

... but a week or two ago I had my first boardroom meeting ever. I was excited, but nervous ... and  I still am about the project I've been put on, but I praise God for everything He continues to bless me with. When things get underway I'll be sure to make an update .. but for now please keep me in your prayers!

A week off, but God's goodness is alway on

So apparently I'm a pretty good sales person. If I had any doubt in myself before, this past week's events at work have diminished most of that self doubt.

I took an entire week off from work to make way for new years celebrating and a week of touring Krissa around DC, VA, and MD as she stayed with us for her east coast get away. I didn't think much would happen while I was away from work, but my was I wrong. In the middle of my week off I received a text that let us all know that it was the last week for the Holiday Associates, this i knew. Then a few days later I got a phone call from my manager that things would be changing around the store, and that everyone besides our managers and two associates were being laid off, one of the remaining associates was me.

I was happy and soo grateful that they kept me but I also feel horrible that they had to let go of employees who've been there for more than 10 years, where as I am the newest on staff besides the Holiday help. Just yesterday I found out that it was not our manager's decision nor did he decide who to keep or who to let go, but it was all our District Manager's call. He's like one of the "big guys" and upon our first meeting called me his "little rock star" because of my number of sales being so high, thus the reason he kept me and also counts on me to keep on selling. I never thought I'd really be good at selling, though I am a people person, but I praise God for blessing me with abilities I'm not even aware of.

I also praise God for being soo good to me and watching out for me even if I've been away from work for a week. For providing my job, and also allowing me to keep my job. In my life the Lord seems to always be taking away something to challenge me and better me, and for me to be able to keep my Job is a relief, blessing and praise. God's goodness and love never takes a day off.

Before the Turkey

Thanksgiving Eve we had a "Team Meeting" at work,
followed by a night out galavanting.

My assistant manager brought the goods.

And of course I was found goofing off as usual.

Finally we have a good number of girls on our team.
We're even with the guys now.

Me and my manager.
Always, hungry.

We're soo G.

Gotta love her!

Then it was bowling time. Hahah.

I'm such a shorty.

Bowling was followed up by a good
time laughing over 1 am hot coco.

We ended the night in Christmas colors ... Rhonda was Vicodin deprived, can you tell? Haha, she's such a trooper for sticking it out all night. It's going to be insane this holiday season!
