Last night was our first night here in VA beach and after a wonderful seafood dinner we headed out to the boardwalk for icecream and a stroll on the beach under the moonlight.
I can't wait for more happy weekending, wedding bliss and beachy fun.

Hellogoodbye
This week has been an exchanging of Hellos and Goodbyes,
people both coming and going.

The greatest exchanging of pleasantries this week has been the long awaited return of my homeboy TERRENCE!!! He's home for good {for now} from his tour of duties in Iraq. Praise God for bringing him home safely, and in one piece. I've missed him terribly, we all have, no one more than my sister.
By the grace of one day's time Terrence got home just in time to see Em-em the night before she headed out to the Philippines! I'm going to miss my Em-em! We're going to miss celebrating her birthday with her once again, I can't believe she's turning 22!
As for traveling back to the "motherland" {haha} My other best friend just left for the Philippines. This means Gie won't be here for both the release of Breaking Dawn AND The second Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Movie!
One more goodbye was exchanged during the same dinner, and that was for our new friend Danee! She's been touring the States for vacation since May, and shes been in DC for the last month and in the time she's been here she's become friends with us all. And though she's been all around the US already she said that this was the one place she made the most friends, and I'm glad she'll take that with her and I hope she's been blessed by our company.
Hospitality and friendship has always been two of the best traits of my group of friends and my church family as well. As good as it feels to enjoy yourself and "stay in your comfort zone" it is a more rewarding blessing to have someone coming to your life and then leave but leave with the feeling of love, friendship and joy. Knowing you've made someone else's day, or have made their visit with you a memorable one, whether it's a day or a month, is a great feeling.

But a temporary one at that. This weekend me and the fam are headed down to Norfolk/VA beach for my sister's college roommate's wedding. It's a very little vacation from reality for once, since summer's just been passing the Diongzon girls by. A good breath of fresh air is long overdue for us, but it also marks the Wedding craziness that goes down ever summer!

Collection of the Week {35}
Get a bag, give a smile.
This week I wanted to share a Collection that's more than just fun and creative, but one that was made for a good cause. My friend Aileen Pangan is like family, we grew up with each other and I've seen both her and her twin sister grow up and turn into beautiful young ladies right before my eyes. Both the girls are sooo creatively talented and are the two most colorful girls I know!
I was soo thrilled to see Aileen put her creativity into good use. She started this project not to long ago for Smile Train, the world's leading cleft charity giving smiles back to little children. Aileen's totes are made for popular magazine covers, each costing somewhere near $10 - $15, which then goes to helping fun the medication for one surgery.

Baby Elijah's dedication
Last sunday was my godson's baby dedication.
He was such a good boy.

I some how ended up standing next to baby Elijah and Ate Javee during the dedication and when I looked down at the beautiful baby boy in the arms of one my best friends I saw him looking right at me. It was a beautiful moment, followed by an symphony of many more blessed moments. Before all of church and family and friends we made a promise to love, guide and protect baby Elijah and be the love and support for his parents, helping grow him in love, in faith, and in Christ. One of the most special moments that followed was when we prayed for Elijah, I knew nothing else but to grab ate Javee's hand as she was teary eyed and quietly transfer my loved and support for her as a sister, as her friend, and as her one of her son's godparents, all through our held hands.

The girls also got together, it's been years upon years since we've been together and I'm so thankful that we all got to share this day with Ate Javee and her beautiful family.

But we ended up waiting for baby Elijah, his mommy and some of his tita's who made a stop at Starbucks without us, locking us out.. heheh

While waiting for the rest of the fam to arrive,
I had a very, very, very delightful conversation with my godson.

By the end of the day Elijah's grandpa and uncle were long gone...
... not to long before baby Elijah started feeling the effects of all day partying. He had a big day and later on during the following week he got sick, then so did his parents.
I love this little boy to pieces and I pray that my life my be a testimony and blessing to him. I pray that I am a great godmother to him, guiding him and teaching him all that I am able to and sharing the love of Christ with him as well.
