Are you Kidding me???

I'm not trying to insinuate anything by sharing this, and sorry for my lack of post on this 'personal blog' of mine. Some how Ica Image's had turned into sometime more personal than I intended ... but such is life.

And as much as I want to blog this on my other blog, I'm sure there's a huge possibility posting it there can make me loose business ... because I'd fall head over heels for this photographer.

This is what I came across ... this real proposal something out of a magazine or staged photoshoot.
But it's real.

Real insanely beautiful. Sheeeesh!! Anyone getting married soon? Because if you are and can top this, please call me 'cause I just gotta be there to take pictures.. pretty please??

My Winter Song

As I sit here typing I can see the snow gently falling outside my window. Everything is blanked in white, but still it's beauty pales in compassion to seeing my sister dressed in white, a bride to be. Stunning. Perfect. And happier than she's ever been.

Check back in a day or so and I'll have whole story of how my big sister found 'the dress', that's if I can manage to write it all out without stopping to cry ever 2 or three sentences.

Seeing white everywhere makes me soo sooo soo happy. I love winter and i looove my family too.

Yesterday was VA's Happy First Snow Day!

Happy Wintering to you.

Good Music rocks my world

Last night I went out with my big sister and her fiance {still a new word to all of us} and we watched one incredible show.

It was at Jammin Java, possibly the best venue around and the best show I've ever been to. It was soo good I think I had goosebumps the entire time. Ernie Halter and Melissa Polinar are simply genius and their use of lyrics and notes is soo amazing it could make you cry. It made want to never take my ability to hear forgranted, nor take my guitar or voice for granted though I'm not that great with either, music is music and it's wonderful.

Both their sets were amazing they honestly couldn't have picked better songs. Like this song, Lighthouse. It's one of my favorite Ernie Halter songs, and it's the last track his Starting Over album so sometimes I intentionally listen through the whole album just to get to this song. It was the perfect closer for their show and though I did take pictures, the music is way more important.

Enjoy the music.

The Keiko Lynn

I haven't been blogging about inspiration, fashion, other blogs, or anything else for that matter but this definitely deserves it's own post. I've been following Keiko Lynn's blog since ... last year I think. And without fail I always leave her blog feeling inspired. Her outfits are just to tooo cute, and she really thinks outside of the box. Mod Cloth on the other hand, it's been about a 2 year infatuation for me. There is nothing but amazing products in their store and alot of my key winter pieces were inspired from their stuff. Now this dress ... mama mia .. it is divine! I've been wearing alot of blue dresses lately and how lovely would it be to add this to the collection? GORGE!

None but Jesus

In the chaos in confusion
I know You're sovereign still
In the moment of my weakness
You give me grace to do Your will
When You call I won't delay
This my song through all my days

You just lost one

One of my best friends sent me this and I was definitely moved.

Another Crafty tune

Awesome Video.
How do you craft?

Buy TOMS, give some

Shoes, shoes, shoes. I'm surrounded by shoes everyday. It becomes a little monotonous job at times but now and again you learn or discover something new, and or your coworkers keep you entertained. It was actually a customer who had this shoes one, ones I've never seen before but they looked so cute and comfty so I had to ask.

"They are TOMS." She told me. Like I'm suppose to know what TOMS are? I sell shoes, but I don't know about alot of shoes outside of what we sell. So as I said I would I looked them up, and I love them.

When you buy a pair of TOMS, TOMS gives a pair of shoes to a child in need. I see people buying shoes everyday, it's nice to know that somewhere people who are buying shoes are giving them out as well.

I have alot of shoes, so it's not like I need another one. But I want to buy me some TOMS. I've seen first hand what a simple pair of shoes means to children in need. Maybe not now, but soon ... I'll get me some TOMS just in time for some summer fun. And plus they are so cute.

Buy TOMS, give some.

Collection of the week {73} - Kristen Leigh

One of my favorite photographers from last year is this super talented, fun and young photographer named Kristen Leigh. She's a local gal and some one I truly admire in the industry. Her story is inspiring, along with her work, her amazing resume and the amount of experience she has under her belt ... and the biggest wow factor is that ..... she's younger than me, {Note I'm only 22}. My admiration for her continues to grow as her work and talent grow too.

{Groom = Drummer for My Favorite Highway}

What I truly love about Kristen's work is the subdued, romantic quality her photos always take on. I heart Kristen Leigh.

{***WATCH OUT for I'll be posting some
exciting news about
Kristen Leigh very very very soon***}

Collection of the week {72}

I stumbled upon this next collection via Style Me Pretty,  {yes both my sister and I adore weddings} and I'm so delighted to have found Steep Street's photography while browsing around.

Simply put, Kelty's images are so vivid with personality and color, yet each image is still so honest and so real. I've not perfectly mastered the art of translating such honesty but seeing her work makes me want to work for just that. All of her images look like they could have been cut out from editorial spreads from some of the biggest fashion magazines.
Fall in love with Steep Street yourself.

Love me, Sing songs

Just another beautiful and encouraging tee by Jesus Branded.

Encouragement is free

Share some.

How many times in a day do we stop thinking about ourselves and start thinking about others?
Answer: Not enough.

Here is a little encouragement for you ... hope these make your day because they did mine. And if you want more find some or share some from HERE and HERE.

I love Mango RED

I love when friends share links, blogs, art, photos .. anything really that they think I'd fancy. And man I'm oh soooo greatful for Mrs. Ramos over there in sunny California for sharing a link to her highschool friends' wedding photographer's blog {a mouth full i know but hope your still with me.. hahah} LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! May I add, these is the work of her highschool friends' wedding photography. I love their work so much I had to blog it ASAP! Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe their work.

Mango RED = AMAZING!

Their work and style has the likings of a growing favorite of mine, Tec Petaja and with the editorial flair like that of Lauren Dukoof.

But what gets me the most is that their work is this incredible though they've humble stated they haven't had formal art school training or even hold degrees in the beauty that they make. It's something I can resonate with, which is a huge encouragement ... giving me hope in everything I do, make, or create on my own.

Sigh ... Their work is like walking through a beautiful dream that you never want to end.

Mango RED = AMAZING!

Abitare

As me and my Brother walked the streets of his lovely Brooklyn neighborhood I saw this sign hanging from a far. I know a good design when I see one, and even from a far I immediately took to it and knew I had to take a peak inside.

Ask Enrique ... I was super excited to get in there ... drum roll please!!!

sigh .. HELLO THERE BEAUTIFUL!

And what is this hanging in the corner I see???

Are those... Are those skinnylaminx tea towels??? OH YES IT IS!!!! Those in the back looking like Orla .. yes .. those!!!!

Oh my oh my, fancy meeting you here. I knew you looked familiar and yes we have met before.
I've hearted skinnylaminx's Etsy shop forever!
See why? Another lovely from her Etsy shop. And oh what joy it is to see other Etsian's work out in the real world looking lovelier than ever!!! I think it's about time I get some of skinnylaminx of my own! Ok now back to Abitare.

Everything in that shop was lovely ... and honestly I could see this whole setting in the middle of my dinning room one day. What an amazing space.

To my disappointment I left with nothing, but wanted to take everything ... but I knew I'd have to control myself because I had only a few hours left in Brooklyn and only so much space in my bag left. And since the stuff I really wanted is on Etsy I will go ahead and get some there.. but I'll definitely be back and visit Abitare again, because this shop is to amazing for words!!!

I love love love Abitare!!!
Brooklyn, you're amazing.

Collection of the week {61}

This week's collection is actually a group of hard core, rule breaking knitters: Knitta! In their words Knitta  is "a tag crew of knitters, bombing the inner city with vibrant, stitched works of art, wrapped around everything from beer bottles on easy nights to public monuments and utility poles on more ambitious outings". Who says knitting is for just old folks? These guys are so creative! I wonder when they'll hit up DC! Here ... watch them in action!
Knitta Rocks!!!

Dreaming of a White Christmas

I'm not trying to get ahead of myself here, because Thanksgiving is definitely my all time favorite holiday for more reasons than I have energy to write out, and fall is also my favorite of the seasons so I'm so enthralled with the weather we have right now,  but I simply can't help the excitement that this image stirred up for me.

A White Christmas would be the loveliest dream.

Collection of the Week {50} - My Urban Wishlist

Oh man does Urban Outfitters have the best little gadgets and gizmos and books ever! Their stuff is so good I've but together my very own wishlist .. hahah nerd I know, their stuff is just too fun. But as fun as it is to put together a list of my own, this is only for kicks and a fun collection to share this week ... nothing serious. So have fun looking at this one, and make a wishlist of your own at Urban ... {you might win something in the process}.

OH how I love a good journal ... this one has my name written all over it!
I think it's about time Mr. Mac-a-roni made a new friend. This is the most perfect speaker and I think I could use a little more volume in my life. My weak sauce speakers do little justice to the amount of time I have Pandora up .. which is 24-7 ... and if you don't know about it already ... beware Pandora is addictive {I can't craft without it} !!!

Old school meets new school cam
By far the most cleverly designed digital camera.
But for that price ... I'd rather buy my dream point and shoot!
Though this is definitely a beauty!
A printer on the go ... literally! AHHHH!!! love it
I love Craft books, this one is no exception.

Ok let me share one more image from Urban's website ...
This is probably my achilles heel... {cameras cameras cameras}
and boy would I'd love to get my hands on a lomo for once in my life.
