ONE big baby

Tomorrow my godson turns one.


In preparations for his party me and my sister decided to spend one night at his house this week and have a play day with him and help out his parents.

We had a lovely time.



First we played in the balls.


Then Nathan wanted to call his mom on the phone, "ewwo!"


Then his girlfriend came over. Can you see the excitement on his face?


Her name was Veronica .. and the baby's name was Isabella.
Haha kidding. But really Nathan really likes Isabella's nanny.

Then it was play time with Isabella!


I've never seen this side of Nathan. He was soo playful, outgoing and noisy around Isabella. He was such a boy, as Isabella sat there all demure and shy like a lovely little angel. Nathan boy is never like that at church because he mostly cries, it was a delight to see him like this.


This boy eats everything.


I finally got to see Nathan boy walk properly. YAY!


Well that's all folks, I'm off to finish "Project Nathan". I can't wait for his party tomorrow, though I'm a bit scare about the whole rent-a-clown deal (I hate clowns). Have a blessed weekend and I'll catch you on the other side.

Crafting on Fridays and Mondays

Friday was our little family field trip day to the Sugarloaf Craft Fair. It was a fun fambam outing and it was nice just to get out of the house for the day. The fair wasn't all to great, but it wasn't a complete let down either. I came home encouraged to keep crafting and inspired by all the handmade projects. There were soo many talented artists and crafters there, that I was happy simply being in their presence and seeing their work. Sad to say the only thing we walked away with that day was a pack of fudge... but it was really really yummy fudge.





Yesterday was just as exciting craft wise. Me and the fambam took a lovely trip to Michael's Craft store. Original we went their on a mission to find decorations for our Church Christmas Party... but we definitely walked away with so much more.

The lady at the register looked at the three of us like we were crazy because we filled our shopping cart to the brim with candles, candle holders, yarn, mini Christmas presents, and then to add to it I held a basket of small table decorations that she had to ring up one by one. I think there were more than 50 items in my basket. By the time we left we were covered in glitter from head to toe.

I love craft stores ... I can stay in them for hours. And yesterday I'm pretty sure we where there for more than 2. I turn into this little kid when I'm there... like a kid in a candy shop. I want everything in every color, all the yarns, candles, papers and notebooks... I want it all. Crafting makes me super happy, most especially during Christmas time.

Well, I think it'll be awhile till my next blog. Christmas is coming up fairly quickly and I'm not knitting or sewing nearly as fast as I need to be. I've got almost half of my Christmas presents done with, I shall work up a storm getting the rest of them finished in the next two weeks.

Collection of the week {11}

This week I wanted to share a collection of pretty little Polaroids by Scott Hammon. His collection of photos is called "the lovely road" and his photographs are taken all over the place from out on the open road.

I've always adored the look and feel of Polaroid pictures. I love the dynamic of working within a square frame. I'm so use to using the standard rectangular frames of most SLRs, it would be fun to switch over to a square frame for a change. My eyes are so accustomed to a rectangular frame that if I worked within different borders it would probably change my whole style of composition, probably enhancing and bettering my use of space within a frame. I want a Polaroid camera and though buying film would probably be a pain ... it's totally worth it. A Polaroid cam is just another one of the many camera's I'd one day like to add to my tiny little collection of cameras one day.

Here are a few other cams I'd like to own one day: An eight frame - single shot Lomography camera, a fisheye lens Lomography camera, a bigger and better Nikon dSLR (possibly a d200 or higher ... but thats aiming for the stars), and lastly a film SLR to call my own (my sister's NikonFM10 is lovely ... I think I'd like to have one of those in my collection one day ... it's the camera I learned how to shoot on).
