Craft, Mac A. Roni, and Etsy

Today I got up and knew I had much to do. Work wise, as in cakies & spinach I've just a tad left to do, but creatively I've been brewing up a storm inside my head. I haven't exactly had the time to spice up my Etsy shop to the fullest, but It's about time I open up and come right out and say it...

Rini & Faith
....is now up and running, so come on in...

There's not a lot in it quite yet, but with a bit more time and a little bit of patience I will have a much larger selection of products, just you wait. I'm in the process of developing Laptop sleeves and such, and spring is almost here so I'm ideating a lot more spring products as well. Be on the look out and also please be in prayer ... I've got of ideas brewing, it's just a matter of time before I get to execute and develop them.

I'm also working on a few custom order not listed on Etsy right now so if there's something you want made that I've blogged but it's not on Etsy just let me know.

{email: riniandfaith@gmail.com or idiongzon@gmail.com}

As for my own personal "MacLovin' Sleeve"
I took time to spice it up just a tiny bit today.

I decided to go with my branch idea, that came from the general idea and use of Mr. Mac A. Roni himself. With Him I'm hoping and praying that I can branch out of my current situation and "get out there" in the design world {and or craft world} and get some sort of exposure.

So far, so good

And who knows where or what the Lord can do with me, Mr. Mac and even Etsy.

For now here's my finished product. My Branch & Buttons MacLovin' sleeve.

And because I love yellow I lined it with this awesomely soft and durable felt like fabric. Mind you, this is only a sleeve not exactly a "case" so it's thick enough to protect from scratching and ruining the face of my laptop, but simply put its like a book cover not really a book bag. In time I will probably explore thicker fabrics and quilted linings to develop actual cases, but for now sleeves are what I'll be making.

Alright, back to the cutting board for sleeve numero dose, and to the sketch book I go for more spinach love.

Happy Monday everyone.

Craft, Mac A. Roni, and me

Happy weekend everyone!

Today's agenda: crafting, Mac-ing, coffee, drawing, spinach, Cakies, possibly go watch a movie {I need to get out of the house, these four walls can only contain me for so long}, and choir practice.

As for the Crafting and Mac-ing... I've been in dire need of a cover or sleeve of some sort for Mr. Mac A. Roni so I crafted up this " MacLovin' Sleeve" {I like to call it}

This MacLovin' Sleeve was my first attempt, so there are a few kinks I have to work out, but for the most part it was pretty successful. I went out and bought new fabric the other day so I can work on Em-em's MacLovin' Sleeve and hopefully I'll perfect it on my second try.

As for my own sleeve, I used this amazing fabric from Waverly Interior Design's fabrics and the pattern name is called: Ming Dynasty-Antique, and is $39.50 per yard. It's uber pricey but I've had this fabric stashed away for quite a while and it was a sample fabric from one of my old bosses who's an interior designer.

I'll be selling "MacLovin' Sleeves" and other laptop sleeves that will come with cord cases as well in my Etsy shop ... which will probably go live tonight or tomorrow. So be on the look out!!

Back to the cutting board

Sew, it's been awhile since I've sewn anything. It's been since December actually and I've gotten a bit rusty in just that short amount of time. Time to rip up some seams ... hehe

Big Mac Blessing

The Lord's blessings come in may different forms.

Along side God's blessings, is His timing. More and more I can see that the Lord both "gives, and takes away" when, and how He sees fit. His timing might not be aligned to the time and plans we make for ourselves but the Lord knows and provides everything we need in His perfect time.

He'll bless you even when you don't deserve it, and He'll take away when He thinks you're strong enough. A lot of the time we may not see, or even understand the whole picture, but God does and He will see it through. He's the Mac Daddy so all we can do is simply sit back and wait for His plans to unfold.

Sometimes the waiting is long, and journey bumpy.... but there will be blessings along the way. Some spontaneous or anonymous, some in boxes or in letters, which ever way His blessings come, His love is so sweet and so are His blessings.
