Put A Ring On It
I have a growing infatuation with rings. I love love love rings. I feel naked without them. The one thing most of my rings currently have in common is that they are all gold. "I LIKE GOLD!" like in Austin Powers Gold Member. Ask anyone of my best friends and they'll tell you I'm a "gold" girl. Don't know how that came to be, I loved silver one upon a time, but gold just fits me.
In fairness, I do still have a few silver pieces, but they are all pieces given to me. The last silver piece of jewelry I bought for myself was a ring with two intertwined hearts I got on a trip to NY in high school. Pretty lame, a two heart ring for myself, I know. But that was highschool and I was lonely. LOL. Here are a few rings I was window shopping for on Etsy, not that I deserve to give myself any presents. But a girl can dream.
Out of all the rings I laid my eyes on, this Skinny Ring is by far my favorite. I feel like it's the one piece missing from all my jewelry, the one piece I'd never take off if I had it. It's understated presence is it's beauty. {Note to self: Don't forget about this ring. It will be yours}
Stacked rings are always fun. My sister and my mom both have lovely sets that are actually all attached to each other {like they are tangled}, but I couldn't find any I liked online so stacked rings were my next option. I even asked my mom for her ring one day, it's so pretty and yes it is gold.
When I want to go with something loud I'd go for this Wrap Ring. I have one similar to it, but this is much more lovely. Big rings are so much fun.
There is something about rare or raw diamonds that always intrigues me. What can I say? I'm a girl's girl sometimes and diamonds are always a girl's best friend right {though I own not one}. This Black Diamond is simply amazing.
Call me bias with gold, yes. But I did look around for other types of rings that are not gold. This Wood ring was my fav. How beautiful is that? Ok yes it's lined in gold but that's the part that isn't seen.

Encouraging Finds
When ever I get on Etsy, I never know how to get off. I continue to stumble upon amazing art and today was no execption. Today I fell upon tankandtink's shop and I am totally blessed and encouraged. It never ceases to amaze me and bless me when I see other artist and crafters using their creativity in ways to bring back the glory to The One who blessed them with it. It's an absolute joy making new friends on Etsy, friends who craft and get creative too. It's also a great joy to make trades with these fellow Etsians. One of my most recent trades was for a painting on a deep canvas from ahappyending. And man do I love ahappyending.
Here is my "Dreamer of Dreams" print from Nichole, of ahappyending which I've placed in my window sill that sits above my headboard and couldn't have picked a lovelier place. It's sitting next to my broken alarm clock, that's sits next to a photo of my dad, that's next to a hanging bouquet of old roses {something I always do with my roses though I rarely get any}. And if you're wondering why theres a pillow in my window sill behind all this stuff, it's actually a draft pillow I made to help keep the winter chill out.
I love this print oh soo much and it's my first ever but I hope to have a large collection of painted prints one day. I picked this print because I have many dreams and aspirations and little by little God is gracious enough to allow my dreams to slowly become reality .. but as I continue to grow so do my dreams. Yet as ironic as this may sound, I rarely have dreams {scientifically I know I do, but I can never can recall a single one} ... I guess my vivid imagination and limitless aspirations make up for that.
Anyways .. on the other end of this awesome trade, Nichole got some Rini & Faith loving and man is Rini & Faith loving her! Nichole is not only super sweet and super talented, {little.miss.photographer is her blog} but she is as cute as a button!!
You make me want to chop all my hair off Nichole and be a rock star like you!!!

As me and my Brother walked the streets of his lovely Brooklyn neighborhood I saw this sign hanging from a far. I know a good design when I see one, and even from a far I immediately took to it and knew I had to take a peak inside.
Ask Enrique ... I was super excited to get in there ... drum roll please!!!

See why? Another lovely from her Etsy shop. And oh what joy it is to see other Etsian's work out in the real world looking lovelier than ever!!! I think it's about time I get some of skinnylaminx of my own! Ok now back to Abitare.
Everything in that shop was lovely ... and honestly I could see this whole setting in the middle of my dinning room one day. What an amazing space.
To my disappointment I left with nothing, but wanted to take everything ... but I knew I'd have to control myself because I had only a few hours left in Brooklyn and only so much space in my bag left. And since the stuff I really wanted is on Etsy I will go ahead and get some there.. but I'll definitely be back and visit Abitare again, because this shop is to amazing for words!!!

Happy 1st Birthday R&F
Happy Birthday Rini &Faith! And though Punxsutawney Phil makes his offical forcast today on {Happy Groundhog Day by the way!!!}, a year ago today we made our own debut on Etsy! I couldn't be more proud and more happy with how this little project has turned out and by God's blessing we are continuing to grow and grow as a business. All praise goes to God!
A million thank yous go out to those who've been there to support me, encourage me, inspire me, and also guide me and pray for me through all of this, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! I love you all and I am soo blessed to have such a great support and love all around me. Also thanks you to our AMAZING CUSTOMER! We really couldn't have done it with out you!

Busy busy busy
I praise God for He keeps me busy.
And praise God for people who keep me busy as well.
{headband orders were to the max today, as well as other business}
The past 24 have felt like 48 because soo much has gone on, and soo much has been soo good and though it may be overwhelming, God is so good. Too good really. His blessings never seem to stop, and though I am surely undeserving of such things His love is steadfast.
Maybe it's me, maybe God's been growing me so much my eyes are more aware of His blessings and goodness all around me, or maybe His blessings are just that much more than usual, either way I am so delighted to be in His favor. None of this has been my own doing, none of it, it's all been God's grace and provision and I praise Him for the lot of it!
New York city here I come!! Please don't freeze me to death or eat me alive for I have work to do and only two days to do it. Praise God for weekend trips, headshots and actor friends who give me reason to travel and shoot!
Please keep me in your prayers, I'll be taking on the Big Apple by myself for the first time ever and in the dead of winter, but I know God's got me safe in His hands. Have a wonderful, possibly white weekend {east coast} and keep warm!!!

Ok, so the last how every many entries have pretty much been Valentines Day driven by all the amazing Etsians posting up their Vday products that have caught my eye. But let me diverge from that for a moment and share some Etsy love for any day. Wall Work's shop is super lovely!
My mom did tons of cross stitching when we were younger, and one of her pieces still hangs by the front door of my best friend's family's house today, so cross stitching is very dear to me though I don't do it myself. Wall Work's shop brings me back to my mom's art but has so much modern flair it's inspiring and refreshing.
