Oh man does Urban Outfitters have the best little gadgets and gizmos and books ever! Their stuff is so good I've but together my very own wishlist .. hahah nerd I know, their stuff is just too fun. But as fun as it is to put together a list of my own, this is only for kicks and a fun collection to share this week ... nothing serious. I think it's about time Mr. Mac-a-roni made a new friend. This is the most perfect speaker and I think I could use a little more volume in my life. My weak sauce speakers do little justice to the amount of time I have Pandora up .. which is 24-7 ... and if you don't know about it already ... beware Pandora is addictive {I can't craft without it} !!!

Collection of the week {22}

I've been slow in blogging lately with all that's going on, especially with work, but I've managed to put together a an entry of a lovely little collection late in the week. I'm currently have Etsy fever, and getting sale after sale, I'm encouraged to go buy from other sellers and support their wonderful little shops.

This week I feel upon Paloma's Nest.

Paloma's Nest has the most darling ceramic sets ever, so simple and delicate and beautifully made. The work was created by Caroline Colom Vasquez and each of her pieces is truly inspiring.

I'd love to go into my kitchen one day and open the cabinet to find a plate reminding me to be patient or find a simple love note engraved into a darling little bowl, or something lovely like the items in this shop.

For my birthday Emem dearest bought me some handmade love in the form of a lovely little branch. Her present blew me away and I love Em with all my heart! Yay for Etsy love and friends who give branches! LOL!

I love my Berrie and Branch Necklace from Bliss Jewelry. It' so delicate and lovely, and the touch of color is so fitting. Besides my own Blissful necklace, the rest of the items sold in Rene's shop are wonderfully crafted and beautifully made. I love all of jewelry especially all of her birdie necklaces, I think I'll be getting another blissful piece some time soon.

LEGOS

Growing up I had this one insane dream. I wanted to became a "professional LEGO builder" someday. I watched an episode of some science show and feel head over heals with lego building. Before that I would always play with legos, I always loved to build stuff, that's actually why I concidered architecture as my major for sometime. Anywhos, now my lego dreams are lived vicariously through my sunday school boys.

Also, as I was walking around the mall with Tim we saw some "professional LEGO builders" putting together an 8 ft tall R2D2...

... with a few other helping hands.

To bad we were to old to help out.
My dreams almost came true ... almost.

Today I got up and knew I had much to do. Work wise, as in cakies & spinach I've just a tad left to do, but creatively I've been brewing up a storm inside my head. I haven't exactly had the time to spice up my Etsy shop to the fullest, but It's about time I open up and come right out and say it...

There's not a lot in it quite yet, but with a bit more time and a little bit of patience I will have a much larger selection of products, just you wait. I'm in the process of developing Laptop sleeves and such, and spring is almost here so I'm ideating a lot more spring products as well. Be on the look out and also please be in prayer ... I've got of ideas brewing, it's just a matter of time before I get to execute and develop them.

I'm also working on a few custom order not listed on Etsy right now so if there's something you want made that I've blogged but it's not on Etsy just let me know.

As for my own personal "MacLovin' Sleeve"
I took time to spice it up just a tiny bit today.

I decided to go with my branch idea, that came from the general idea and use of Mr. Mac A. Roni himself. With Him I'm hoping and praying that I can branch out of my current situation and "get out there" in the design world {and or craft world} and get some sort of exposure.

So far, so good

And who knows where or what the Lord can do with me, Mr. Mac and even Etsy.


For now here's my finished product. My Branch & Buttons MacLovin' sleeve.



And because I love yellow I lined it with this awesomely soft and durable felt like fabric. Mind you, this is only a sleeve not exactly a "case" so it's thick enough to protect from scratching and ruining the face of my laptop, but simply put its like a book cover not really a book bag. In time I will probably explore thicker fabrics and quilted linings to develop actual cases, but for now sleeves are what I'll be making.

Alright, back to the cutting board for sleeve numero dose, and to the sketch book I go for more spinach love.

Take a Stand

I'm your typical girl when it comes to jewelry, I love all things lovely. I also have fazes when it comes to jewelry, like right now I'm living in this one pair of Bamboo looking gold hoops that I love and my sister's sparrow necklace.

But besides those two piece I have a lot of jewelry in general, as most girls do. I have a couple of jewelry boxes that keep me somewhat organized but they are harder to access on a daily basic in comparison to these darling jewelry stands at Urban Outfitters.

This Little Birch Jewelry stand is $26. I love it, out of the three it's my fave.

I've tried looking else where for jewelry stands as lovely as these, but at most stores I find doll looking stands that are headless, though it's not a dramatic as it sounds, it looks like this. I'd much rather have something more classic. Maybe I'll take a stand sometime soon...

Happy twenty first birthday

I grabbed these first three pictures of you from one of our many Georgetown days together. Oh how I miss our adventures of frolicking in the city, while talking about books and vampires, or sharing our latest artistic projects, or our latest punk rock loves, sleepovers that go on for days at a time and adventures in the kitchen {sprite remix and accidental stabbings anyone? hehe}, and you can't forgetting making gloves in your bedroom.

Well I've recalled all of these adventures of ours because there's no one {besides the other two bunsoys} that I'd share these silly moments with.

One adventure {a continuous one at that} that I haven't recalled is all the moments we've shared and talked about God's goodness, and His blessings, the hardships of life, and the encouragment we bring to each other.




I love you Gie, and though we don't get to see each other a whole lot now a days you're forever a big portion of my heart. You're not only a best friend, but a sister to me and I want nothing but the best for you on your birthday and every other day.

May God continue to lead you and guide you in all that you do, and I pray that you continue to keep growing in love with the Lord and in faith.

More Kisses

There's this Hershey's poster that I'm completely infatuated with. It began on a random trip to PA back in September where we visited the Chocolate Factory at Hershey Park and this poster took up the entire wall behind the cash registers. Then I saw it again when I visited Lily and Javee in SC, and it was there in the market at Downtown Charleston.


This time around I saw it in Shoppers, right around the corner. {For the first time it was near by, because every other time it's been in another state}. It was on a classic box of chocolates, Hershey's Kisses to be exact and it was ever so lovely. I wanted to get it so bad, but no, I didn't end up buying it because of the lack of money I had on me, and how lame would that be if I bought a box of valentines chocolates for myself? LOL!

Missing from my collection....

I'm a book lover. It's always been that way, books to read, books to write in, books to keep, books to share. Here are a few that I currently don't own, but hope to add to my little collection some day. But that's why there are libraries and bookstores ... by the way I'm quite the bookstore junkie, ask the sister she knows all about it too ... Well every time I do hit the bookstore I usually open one of these books, grab me a coffee and take what inspiration I can.
