Birthday Bliss

So my birthday isn't for another five days and I haven't really been big on making plans or on celebrating, birthdays were more exciting when I was younger, but to my delight I got some early birthday bliss from some lovely friends today.

Mr & Mrs Ramos sent their love in the form of a little package with my name on it.

Inside was a card, in a personalized envelope of course, and little handmade jacket for something small and probably lovely.

I opened the little hand crocheted jacket {by the way, nice work ate sha, it brings me back to those times we'd crochet like lolas in your bedroom} ...... and got a darling little present.

THE California Poppy JILL BLISS Mirror!

Ate Sharyl ordered this lovely mirror from MyfavoriteMirror.com, something I was planning to do sometime but she beat me to it. After opening my present I called her so excited and so grateful and we were also in agreement that MyfavoriteMirror.com is an awesome gift solution {for the girls at least} and this mirror is offically my favorite mirror.

It matches my Jill Bliss Journal perfectly.

Thank you so much Kuya Frankie & Ate Sha! I can't believe you guys got me my mirror! You're BIG bear Ica hug will be waiting for you here in Virginia so come and get it! I love you two to pieces and I miss you guys, especially that cooking mama over there!

{...goes off to look at the mirror all day... such vanity...}

Post Valentine's, Valentine's Date

Valentine's was about two weeks ago today,
but yesterday it was all worth the wait.

Before taking me to the craft store for Etsy purposes, Tim gave me my belated Valentine's Day presents ... after a lovely little snoopy card {that was so perfect and so me}. I got what I thought was a box of chocolates .... but Tim knows better then to get me chocolates because they kill me, so instead of chocolates...

It was a box of sweet treats.

Because Tim knows I love Starburst and PEZ he hooked it up. So that's two years in a row I got PEZ for Valentines from him.

He gave the box of candies a bit of a more personal touch and under every candy he wrote something he loves about me.

...this one is one of my favorites...

I love Funny Face, and I think I do have a perfectly funny one, and most of the time I take pictures a funny face is all you'll get from me so it was perfect.

To top it off Tim put pictures of us on the bottom of the box,
which was a lovely and unexpected surprise.

That night we went to the movies and watched Definitely, maybe which was great by the way , and had dinner at Cheesecake Factory. We were both to stuff to get dessert but it was all so yummy. The entire day was great fun and very very delicious.

{this was after we ate ... he was pretty heavy... haha}

you smell like rice tim remo!
{and thank you times 10}

ice & ope

It was a lovely weekend spent with "Ope".

Saturday after a few hours shopping I took a nap as Hope read a play
{the only reading this girl ever does.. haha}

goofing off in the bathroom after a play and a mcdonalds trip

did i mention, we're twins?

the rest of the night was themed: two

two geetars

two black teas

two macbooks

and two obnoxiously loud girls
singing and playing the guitar till 3 in the morning.

we had a special guest, the naked man that hangs over hopes bed.

besides pizza and the oscars on sunday night that was about it.

FOHSHO!

Kate & Sukie

I love journals, notebooks, sketchbooks ... and things of that sort. This weekend I got myself and my sister some notebook love from Urban Outfitters.

For a few bucks I bought a Kate Sutton journal and a Sukie one. I let my sister choose between the two and I knew she'd like the Sukie design. I heart Kate Sutton ... as I've mentioned before, and I heart yellow so the "free bird" journal was totally me.

I first saw Sukie products on my trip down to South Caroline last year when I stumbled into this darling boutique. Since then I've been on the look out for Sukie products up here so it was a delight to find some at Urban.

Roses

I'm waiting ever so patiently for spring's arrival. I'm starting to have a silent case of spring deprivation, or maybe it's simply the mass production of melatonin in my body as I hide indoors away from the sun. I'm waiting for things to bloom and grow, for the grass to turn green once again, and for the daisies and the roses to spring up from the ground. I can't help but notice that the only flowers I've seen lately are the dead ones hanging over my bed every night.

And I also can't help but notice the melodramatic disposition this entry has taken on, it's a Monday.

Collection of the week {21}

1 Project a day.

One project a day, you know you've wanted to, I know I sure do, Crowded Teeth is about 3 lovely months into her "1 project a day" adventures and all of it is way to awesome.

Michelle Romo started this project on November 21, 2007 on her 25th birthday and it ends November 21st this year and each month she takes on a different theme.

This month the theme is "A scene from daily life", last month she took on "Fonts and Typography". All of her work is way to cute and it's work I can relate to. Her typography is so approachable but still full of life and detail. I heart her style.

I'd love to do a "one a day" project myself, and it's funny that this is my 21st week of collections and next week I turn 21 myself. Maybe I in turn should do one myself?

Hmm... but then again maybe not. I have a tendency to take on way to much at one time, like doing a couple of hats in one day, a few graphic design products on top of that and then some sewing love. So "one a day" is like putting a leash on my brain creatively because all of my creativity would be isolated into one project. But it is a lovely idea. Maybe I'll take it on one day. {...goes off to put that on her life to-do list...}
